Chris Zoricich

Chris Zoricich ( May 3, 1969 in Auckland ) is a former New Zealand football player with Croatian roots, who was last active at Wealdstone FC, ​​a club from a suburb of London, and for the New Zealand national football team.

Career

Zoricich began his career at Papatoetoe in Auckland, before moving to Leyton Orient to England. In 1994 he returned to New Zealand and played for Central United, a club with Croatian background. Here also played his brother Michael, who also graduated some Davis Cup appearances for the New Zealand tennis team, and his father Ivan. In 1994 Zoricich to Australia at the Brisbane Strikers. In 1996 he signed a contract at Chelsea, but was able to complete the two years at the London club top no use in the first team. He then played in some clubs in Australia before he went back to England. He finished his career at Wealdstone FC in the summer of 2006.

With the national team of his country Zoricich won the OFC Nations Cup 1998 and 2002.
