Christelijk Nationaal Vakverbond

The Christelijk Nationaal Vakverbond (CNV ) is a trade union federation in the Netherlands. He was traditionally characterized evangelical reformed under the so-called pillarisation, where he is now geared more ecumenical. In Belgium there is the Algemeen Christelijk Vakverbond, which is however not connected to the CNV. The CNV increased in the 1970s with the other unions NAB ( Catholic) and NPT (socialist ) participated in discussions on a merger, but then decided to maintain the independence. The merger between the other two unions came into existence in 1976 under the name of FNV.
