Christian Dobnik (* July 10, 1986 in Klagenfurt) is an Austrian football goalkeeper. Since 2010, since 2012/13, he plays as a goalkeeper at Wolf Berger AC, which in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Career

Dobnik began his career as a football player in August 1992 at his home club, the SV Viktoria Viktring in the 13th district of Klagenfurt Viktring. In April of 1997 he moved to the Carinthian football academy and played from then on in the various youth teams, before he was brought to the second first team of FC Kärnten in 2005, which was still present at this time in the national league Kärnten and the FC Welzenegg a syndicate operation. In his first season in senior football Dobnik was 2005/ 06 with his team move up to the third-rate Regionalliga Mitte. Of the amateurs out he was two years later moved to the first team of the club and completed here his first professional assignments.

From the financially ailing FC Kärnten Dobnik moved in summer 2008 to Vorarlberg to the FC Lustenau; his coach and previously also teammates Nenad Bjelica followed him to the setting of gaming operations in early 2009 after as coach of FC Lustenau. Together with Bjelica Dobnik occurred in the summer of 2010 to the change to the Wolf Berger AC; Dobnik as a player and Bjelica as its coach. With the 2011/12 season, the club finally managed to move up to the highest Austrian league with six points ahead of the SCR Altach. His league debut came on 25 July 2012 in the 0-1 defeat against FK Austria Wien.
