Christian Kux

Christian Kux (born 3 May 1985 in Karl- Marx-Stadt ) is a German racing cyclist.

Career

Showed early talent of Christian Kux. So he won the 2001 German Championship in the individual pursuit of the youth category.

Kux won at the 2002 Cottbus Bundesliga Stage Race Junior a stage and finished third overall. In the same year he also became German Junior Champion in the individual pursuit on the track. This track his defense next year, where he Vice World Champion in the Team Pursuit was well.

From 2006 to 2007 Kux rode for the Continental Team Milram in the U23 class. In his first season he won two races and thus the overall rating of the U23 league. On the track, he won the U23 Six Days in Munich with his partner Marcel Kalz.

In 2007 he won with his team the team time trial of the Tour of Thuringia. In the German U23 Championship he finished second in the road race and around the Sachsenring he was third. He won the overall classification of the International German Championship in the U23 class by itself.

In 2008 and 2009 he started for the ProTour Team Milram. During this time he was able to achieve only some minor notable successes, such as a Stage 6 place at the Three Days of West Flanders and a day in the mountains jersey at the Critérium du Dauphiné Libéré. In 2008, he went at the Vuelta a España at the start, but these had to leave on the 19th stage. His best result was a 45th place stage. End of the 2009 season he has finished his professional career.

After the end of his professional career, he began the DSC cycling team, a Dresden amateur team at. In 2011 he achieved a moderate success when it won the national championship in Obergurig through the support of his team. Another good result was a fourth place at around the Sachsenring, where he in 2007 was already finished third.
