Christine Herbst

Christine Autumn ( born July 19, 1957 in Dresden, after marriage Christine Paulick ) is a former swimming athlete from East Germany, which in 1972 won an Olympic silver medal.

Christine autumn swam at SC Einheit Dresden and trained with Uwe Neumann. In 1972, she won at the East German championship on two back trails. At the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972 she swam the 100m backstroke to seventh place, occupied more than 200 meters in fifth place and won the medley relay in the line- Christine Herbst, Renate Vogel, Roswitha Beier and Kornelia Ender the silver medal behind the U.S. Americans. In 1973, she occupied the second and third place in the East Championship. With the World Swimming Championships in 1973 she won the sixth and four in the season their team mate Ulrike Richter was used that would dominate the backstroke in the next few years, while the fall ended her career soon.

Later, the trained beautician worked in the electrical industry, after the fall, she returned to her profession as a beautician.
