Christoffer Selbekk

Christoffer Selbekk ( born May 26, 1939 in Stadsbygd, Sør -Trøndelag, † January 11, 2012 in Bærum ) was a Norwegian ski jumper and entrepreneur.

Life and career

Selbekk, born 1939 in Sør -Trøndelag, reached the 5th place in jumping on the normal hill at the Nordic World Ski Championships 1966 in Oslo. In the same year he jumped on the Bjørnstadbakken in Tistedal 62.5 m hill record which he still holds on the now-defunct hill. In the Four Hills Tournament 1966/67, he reached the 4th place in Innsbruck and at the end of the tour on the 19th place in the overall standings. After his playing career he held various posts in the Norwegian Ski Federation and the Norwegian Golf Federation.

1962 graduated Selbekk a business degree from the University of Denver. From 1974 to 1978 he was CEO of Tretorn Norge. From 1978 he ran his own sports company Chrisco Sport.

Selbekk lived until his death on January 11, 2012, in Eiksmarka.
