Christoph Ignaz Abele

Christoph Ignaz Abele, 1665 with the title of lilies and Berg, 1684 Count (* 1627 in Vienna, † October 12, 1685 ) was an Austrian lawyer and court official.

Life

His family came from the Breisgau and was knighted in 1547. An ancestor Abeles had already served in the service of the court of Emperor Maximilian I.. Abele studied law and went into the higher civil service, where he was imperial court secretary and intra -Austrian Referendarius.

On November 5, 1665, he was provided with his brother Matthias by the Emperor Leopold I with the title of lilies and Berg, Owner of the Manor of hacking. His position as Referendarius for internal affairs enabled him great influence on the allocation of manors in 1666 and 1667.

Later he became one ( 1670-71 ) on the investigation of the Tribunal magnate conspiracy. In 1674 he was elevated to the old knighthood and sat in the Council of Ministers. 1679 he was appointed as successor of Count Georg Ludwig von Sinzendorf Hofkammerpräsident. In the same year he was raised in a baron.

In 1681 he was promoted to the barony and was appointed privy councilor. 1683 was the Abele Hofkammerpräsidentschaft, but remained a member of the secret Conferenz and was raised in 1684 in the rank of count. Shortly before his death, he appears as Commissioner of the Hungarian government stands.

He is considered the patron of the Viennese Servite.

In 1894 ( 13th district ) was named the Lily Mountain alley after him in Vienna hacking.

Abeles brother was the lawyer and writer Matthias Abele.
