Christoph-Mathias Mueller

Christoph -Mathias Mueller ( born February 26, 1967 in Chiclayo, Peru ) is a grown up in Switzerland conductor. He has been music director of the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra.

Mueller studied violin and conducting in Basel in Cincinnati, Ohio. Then he Conducting Fellow at Tanglewood, Massachusetts, and worked with Seiji Ozawa, Robert Spano and Leon Fleisher. 1996 Mueller was the Deutsches Symphonie -Orchester Berlin Wizard by Vladimir Ashkenazy. 2000 Mueller won the International Conducting in Cadaqués, Spain. From 2001 to 2005 he was assistant conductor Claudio Abbado at the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra, and from 2003 to 2005 held the same position at the Lucerne Festival Orchestra. In the season 2004/2005 he was artistic director of the Cairo Symphony Orchestra. Since 2005 Christoph -Mathias Mueller Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra, music director since 2007.
