Christophe Bassons

Christophe Basson ( born June 10, 1974 in Mazamet, Tarn ) is a French cyclist.

Career

He began his career in 1991 as a mountain bike rider and was in 1996 with the cycling team Force Sud Street professional, later in Festina before the team La Française des Jeux joined in 1999. In the years 2000 and 2001 he drove for Jean Delatour.

To Festina team he belonged even during the doping scandal at the 1998 Tour de France, where he, however, did not participate. Dama League teammates should have confirmed that the only driver of the Festina team Basson took no banned substances; according to other sources are beside him Patrice Halgand and Laurent Lefèvre have been unloaded.

In 1999 he abandoned the Tour de France from under the pressure of the peloton.
