Mazamet

Mazamet is a French town with 10,093 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Tarn, in the Midi -Pyrénées; it belongs to the district and is the capital of Castres (French: Chef- lieu) of the same cantons Mazamet -Nord -Est and Mazamet - Sud-Ouest.

Location

The city Mazamet lies on the northern foothills of the Montagne Noire (Eng. "Black Mountain " ), at the confluence of the rivers Arno and Arnette in the Thoré. Although the community is within the specified limits of the Regional Natural Park of Haut Languedoc, the local government has the charter agreement in 2011 but not signed.
