Aiguefonde

Aiguefonde is a commune with 2679 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the Tarn department in the Midi-Pyrénées region. It belongs to the district of the canton of Castres and Mazamet -Sud -Ouest.

Location

Aiguefonde is located on the northern foothills of the Montagne Noire (Eng. "Black Mountain " ), about 4.5 kilometers west of Mazamet and about 13.5 kilometers southeast of Castres. The Thoré limits the municipality in the north.
