Christopher Bathurst, 3rd Viscount Bledisloe

Christopher Hiley Ludlow Bathurst, 3rd Viscount Bledisloe, QC (* June 24, 1934, † 12 May 2009) was a British peer and politician.

Life and career

Bathurst first attended Eton College and then studied at Trinity College, University of Oxford. His military service he completed at the 11th Hussars. Then he was called to the Bar at Gray 's Inn. The focus of his work lay in the field of commercial law. In 1978 he was, as already appointed his father 's Counsel.

He succeeded his father on 17 June 1979 as Viscount Bledisloe after and was active in the Lords since the lawyer alongside his work. 1999 Bathurst could keep it as a hereditary peers elected by 90 his seat in the House of Lords, where he sat as a cross Bencher. He died at the age of 74 years.

Family

Bathurst was married from 1962 to 1986 to divorce Mary Elizabeth Thompson. They have two sons and a daughter.
