Christophorus-Kantorei Altensteig

The Christophorus Kantorei Altensteig is the choir of St. Christopher's Music High School in Old gate in the northern Black Forest and consists of 60 girls and female voices aged 15 to 19 years old. The choir is led it was founded in 1993 by Michael Nonnenmann, 1962 by KMD Jürg Wieber. The vocal process is also accompanied by the vocal leaders Eberhard Schuler Meybier and Jeannette Buhler.

Repertoire

The choir's repertoire includes both sacred and secular a cappella choral music, mainly contemporary works such as " Short People " by Randy Newman, as well as works and oratorios known classical composers such as Bach, Handel, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Gounod and fracture

Concerts

The Christophorus Kantorei are annual about 30-40 concerts at home and abroad and breaks every spring to a 14-day concert tour, which, in the past few years to England, Latvia, Poland, Greece, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania Italy, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, South Africa, Argentina, the USA and New Zealand led.
