Chuck Negron

Charles " Chuck" Negron ( born June 8, 1942 in New York City ) is an American singer who was best known as a member of the music group Three Dog Night.

Biography

Born in Manhattan, Negron grew up in the Bronx. He sang in local doo-wop groups and was a talented basketball player. In 1968 he founded with Danny Hutton and Cory Wells, the successful band Three Dog Night in 1977, broke up again.

Negron has long had serious drug problems. After he had overcome this, he began a solo career. In 1999 he published his autobiography, Three Dog Nightmare.

Since 2005, Chuck Negron has the rights to the band name Blood, Sweat & Tears.
