The 392 km long Chulym (Russian Чулым ) is a river in the endorheic basin of Tschanysees in the southeast of the West Siberian Lowland (Russia, Asia).

The Chulym arises from several source fluxes in the swamps Toiskoje Saimischtsche ( Тойское Займище ) and Troschinskoje Saimischtsche ( Трошинское Займище ) north of the Barabasteppe, about 100 km north-west of Novosibirsk, at about 150 m above sea level. It crosses the Barabasteppe - always on the territory of Novosibirsk Oblast - in a southwesterly direction, flows in the lower reaches the lakes Sargul ( Саргуль, area 34.6 km ²) and Urjum ( Урюм, 84.1 km ² ), and finally ends at 106 m above sea level.
