Church of Santi Michele e Magno

San Michele in Sassia (Latin: Sancti Michaelis in Saxia ), also Santi Michele e Magno is a church in Rome at the Borgo Santo Spirito 41, opposite St. Peter's Square

The former church of the Frisians in Rome dates from the 9th century and was rebuilt in the 13th century with a campanile. From 1756-59 the church was converted into a three-nave pillar basilica. In the left aisle is the grave of the painter Anton Raphael Mengs.
