Cibla

Cibla is a village in the east of Latvia on the border with Russia.

The first written mention of the estate took place in 1739, " Ewersmuyze " ( Latvian: Eversmuiža ). The community was then Eversmuiža by a nearby historical castle hills of Latgale renamed Cibla 1925. In more recent times, the town is the former estate is referred to as Cibla. The village has a middle school, a people house, a medic station as well as a Catholic church.

Ciblas novads

Ciblas novads was formed from the communities Cibla, Blonti, Līdumnieki, Pušmucova and Zvirgzdene 2009. The administrative center is located in Blonti. Ciblas novads has an area of ​​509.4 km ². The population was 3309 in 2010, but is conceived as a result of lack of jobs in the fall.
