Ciepielów, Masovian Voivodeship
Ciepielów is a village located in powiat Lipski in the Masovian Voivodeship, Poland. It is seat of the rural commune ( gmina wiejska ).
Geography
Ciepielów located 35 kilometers southeast of Radom on the river Iłżanka.
History
1648 received Ciepielów of Sigismund II Augustus, the town charter. Sigismund III. Wasa added in 1597 to the city right nor the right to form guilds added. Between 1597 and 1626 destroyed the city fire. 1627, the city granted the right markets and measuring perform. 1869 lost the place to be a town.
On September 8, 1939 250 to 300 Polish soldiers were killed in the massacre of Ciepielów far from the village.
From 1975-1998 it belonged to the Province of Radom.
