Cinelli

Cinelli is an Italian bicycle manufacturer in Caleppio di SETTALA in Milan, founded in 1948. Cinelli building quality road bikes, traditionally using tubes of the chassis manufacturer Columbus, and was for several decades supplier of almost all bicycle forks for professional cycling teams. The frames are now also sold under the label Dynatec. However, the company's main revenue achieved with the sale of bicycle components, in particular handlebar and essays. The products have achieved cult status due to their design and quality in cycling circles.

Founder of the company, which initially had its headquarters in Turin, was the cyclist Cino Cinelli, who had won the 1943 cycling race Milan-San Remo. After the Second World War, he began the construction of the framework due to the many ideas that he had developed during his active career as a racing driver. One of the first drivers who drove a Cinelli frame, Fausto Coppi was in 1947.

Cinelli was also known for the development of components such as stem and handlebar brackets made ​​of steel, and later from aluminum. The first saddle made of plastic, the " Unicantor ", was designed in 1962 (until then were generally made ​​of leather bicycle saddles ) and still serves as a model for all later bicycle saddles. Another innovation was the " Spinaci " bar ends.
