Cinema and Science

Cinema and Science ( CISCI ) was an educational project of the Austrian physicist Heinz Oberhummer. It was funded by the European Commission and has been awarded as the star of this project. In the meantime, the project has been set, the corresponding site is offline.

CISCI describe and explain scientific topics with the help of popular movies, but also examines whether certain scenes from a scientific perspective, can be realized in the form shown. The analyzes and descriptions of scenes will be provided for students and teachers in a free web-based database. This allows the study of science in secondary education more interesting design and the students are motivated to participate.

The contents of CISCI are updated continuously by scientists and teachers under the guidance of the Technical University of Vienna, and tested scientifically and educationally.
