The Circé class was a middle class submarine ship of the French Navy. In the former French type classification it was boats in Class 2, the four boats of the class were built in 1923-1930 at Chantiers Schneider et Cie in Chalon -sur -Saône. The class is also known as 600- C type.

A boat of the class was sunk at the beginning of the German invasion of France by a German U - boat. The other three boats remained after the French surrender at Vichy - French control. Two boats were deactivated in December 1940 in French North Africa and captured by the Allied invasion of Africa by the Italian navy. A boat was lifted after the German invasion in southern France at Toulon scuttled and then by the Italians.
