Circus Oz

Circus Oz is a contemporary circus company from Melbourne in Australia. It was created in 1978 by the merger of the groups Soapbox Circus and New Circus.

The concept is similar to the later founded Cirque du Soleil: It is dispensed to the classics such as animal numbers and instead offered a mix of acrobatics, theater and live music. This one is limited to about a dozen performers who perform the entire show in various roles, from artists to musicians alone.

Circus Oz had been performances in 26 countries on five continents.
