Ciudad Mier

Ciudad Mier is a Mexican city in Tamaulipas on the border with the United States. The next place on the U.S. side is McAllen.

By the end of 2010, several thousand people lived in Ciudad Mier. The criminal cartel Los Zetas threatened with the murder of all citizens of the city, whereupon the inhabitants fled Ciudad Mier and was a ghost town.
