CKHJ

CKHJ (also known as Fredericton 's Country Station) is a private radio station in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. Are sent current country music charts. The station broadcasts on the frequency 1260 AM. Furthermore, the program is fed into the Internet and into the digital cable network. The transmission tower located on the Royal Road, northwest of Fredericton. More transmission towers, the sending program located in New Maryland and Oromocto.

History

The station began broadcasting on August 19, 1977 under the name CIHI. In June 2000, the transmission frequencies were swapped among the sister stations. CIHI assumed the frequency 105.3 and CKHJ was converted to 1260 AM.

CKHJ along with CIHI were from Radio One Ltd.. operated until 1999. These stations were sold to Telemedia Communications 1999. In 2002 was made another sale to Astral Media.
