Clare Higgins

Clare Frances Elizabeth Higgins ( born November 10, 1955 in Bradford, United Kingdom) is a British film and stage actress.

Higgins was born the second of five children in a family of teachers. In her youth she was the convent school she attended referred. As a 17 -year-old she ran away from home at age 19 she gave birth to a boy whom she released for adoption.

Higgins began her acting career in theater, where she was quickly hired for roles in London and New York's Broadway theaters. Her film career began in the role of Kitty Bennett in a TV miniseries adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Her second role was as Christine Manson in the television series The Citadel.
