Clas Bjerkander
Clas Bjerkander ( born September 23, 1735 in Bjerka socks at Skara, Sweden, † August 1, 1795 ) was a Swedish clergyman and naturalist. Its official botanical author abbreviation is " Bjerk. ".
Life and work
From 1758 Bjerkander studied at Uppsala University and then worked as a parish priest. His scientific interests were especially meteorology, entomology and botany, here especially mycology.
Together with Andreas Dahl and others, he founded the Svenska Topographiska Sällskapet i Skara ("Swedish topographic society Skara ").
