Claston Bernard

Claston Bernard ( born March 22, 1979 in Burnt Savannah, Saint Elizabeth Parish ) is a Jamaican decathlete.

At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000, he gave up after the eighth discipline.

In 2002 he won at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester. At the World Athletics Championships 2003 in Paris / Saint- Denis and at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, he came ninth.

In 2005 he won at the Central American and Caribbean Championships in Nassau, but had to retire at the World Championships in Helsinki.

Two other medals he won yet at the Central American and Caribbean Championships: 2009 in Havana Bronze and Silver in 2011 in Mayagüez. At the Pan American Games 2011 in Guadalajara he was eighth.

His personal best of 8225 points he put up in Athens on 24 August 2004.
