Claudia Müller

Claudia Müller ( born May 21, 1974 in Bremen) is a former German football player. She is a trained insurance clerk.

Career

Clubs

Claudia Müller began in the youth teams of the club " TuS Eintracht Bremen " with the football matches, before moving to the ladies section of the club with approximately 14 years. She was later in the season 1996/97 - the last in the Bundesliga with a north and a south group ran two tracks - at Fortuna Sachsenroß Hanover. The club waived, however, after winning the relegation for financial reasons to participate in the single-track Bundesliga.

She joined the season 1997 /98 for SG Praunheim. For these and in August 1998 of dissolving from the Women's Division succession Club 1 FFC Frankfurt, she completed 29 league games in which she scored 33 goals. This corresponds to an exceptionally high average of 1.13 goals per game.

She was then for six seasons for the WSV Wendschott and - after the integration of the complete WSV women's football teams - whose successor VfL Wolfsburg active. Again, it was distinguished by a remarkable success rate. Their last league game Müller graduated on May 22, 2005, compared to SC Freiburg.

National

Because of their constant excellent performance in everyday League has already been appointed during their first season in the national team. Curiously, she scored her first international goal in their debut on 27 August 1996 in Lichtenvoorde the deficit in the 88th minute to score 3-0 against the Netherlands and their last goal in their last game. This was the final of the European Championship in 2001 against the selection of the Swedes on 7 July 2001 in Ulm. Müller scored in the eighth minute of extra time by a golden goal in a 1-0 draw. It was after 1999 already her second European title. Nationwide notoriety she gained also by the fact that she retired in the wake of jubilation after the winner 's jersey over his head; the appropriate photo was printed in numerous newspapers one side or on the front page.

Müller played a total of 45 international caps and was able to achieve 22 goals.
