Clear script

The oiratische font or plain text or clear script ( Mongolian: Тодо бичиг todo bitschig; engl Clear script. ) Was created in 1648 by the Buddhist monk Zaya - oiratischen pandita Namkhaijamco for the spelling of the Mongolian. It was created on the basis of the traditional Mongolian script with the goal nearer to lead the orthography to the actual debate and facilitate the transcription of Tibetan and Sanskrit.

The script was used by Kalmyks of Russia until 1924, when it was replaced by the Cyrillic alphabet. In the Autonomous Region of Xinjiang, China, it use the Oirat further, although in the Mongolian education throughout China, the Chahar - Mongolian is taught.
