Cleberson Souza Santos

Cleberson Souza Santos, often only Cleberson, ( born February 10, 1978 in Salvador ) is a former Brazilian footballer.

Career

As with many Brazilian footballers to Clebersons career development can not be reconstructed with certainty. Back in 1996, played the defender for Clube do Remo in the state of Pará. Around 2000, he hired himself at Atlético Rio Negro Clube in the state of Amazonas, before he kicked in 2002 for Botafogo FR in the Brazilian championship. He then worked at Bangu AC.

In 2004, he probably played for Al Wahda in Saudi Arabia and joined after his return in early 2005 on his old club Clube do Remo. Next stop was Cabofriense AD, where he took care of a headline after he kissed a referee in April 2007 after a decent free kick against him on the cheek and it saw the yellow card.

In June 2007, he was engaged as a fourth Brazilians from the newly formed New Zealand's A- League team Wellington Phoenix and arrived in the early stage of the season to three division operations. In early November 2007, he was released together with his compatriot George back out of his contract because he no longer played a role in the future planning of Phoenix. Cleberson then returned to Brazil and played to mid- 2008, América FC.
