Clinton is a municipality in the north-west of the U.S. state of Ohio and is located in Summit County.

Geography

The municipality covers an area of 9.4 km ². Of these, 9.2 km ² land and 0.2 km ² water surface. The proportion of water surface corresponds to around 2.5%. According to the 2000 census, only 1,337 people lived there.

The town is located on the eastern shore of the largely channeled Tuscarawas River. Also located near the town of Ohio - Erie Canal.

Worth seeing is the intersection of two historically significant waterways near the village. There intersect here the Tuscarawas River and the 19th- century Erie Canal. At the time, Clinton has developed into a prosperous town. Today, the site is no more than a suburb of the town of Akron. Along old towpaths are information boards on the former role and importance of the two waterways, particularly the Erie Canal.
