Cloven Hoof (band)
Cloven Hoof ( en., Claw ') is a heavy metal band from England. The band was founded in 1979 and was part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Their first demo recording liked Robert Plant ( Led Zeppelin) so much that he took it into a national radio station. Rob Halford ( Judas Priest ) made the tape also play in a radio station in Phoenix, Arizona.
After only moderate success of the debut album Cloven Hoof (1992 under the title The Gates of Gehanna together with the EP The Opening Ritual, as bootleg CD "Reborn Classics" re-released ) broke up the band after three rather unsuccessful discs again. After a Reunionkonzert 2004 as part of the Keep It True festival were from the old line-up nor the bassist and bandleader Lee Payne, the vocalist Russ North and guitarist Andrew Wood here. In 2006, then the album Eye of the Sun was published, with bassist Lee Payne had a completely new force at the start here. For the following publication The Definitive Part One of 2008, original singer Russ North was back again with. The album contains mainly new recordings of old pieces. Cloven Hoof 2009 occurred on the Bang Your Head Festival, the Keep It True and Headbangers Open Air.
