Cloven Hoof (band)

Cloven Hoof ( en., Claw ') is a heavy metal band from England. The band was founded in 1979 and was part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Their first demo recording liked Robert Plant ( Led Zeppelin) so much that he took it into a national radio station. Rob Halford ( Judas Priest ) made ​​the tape also play in a radio station in Phoenix, Arizona.

After only moderate success of the debut album Cloven Hoof (1992 under the title The Gates of Gehanna together with the EP The Opening Ritual, as bootleg CD "Reborn Classics" re-released ) broke up the band after three rather unsuccessful discs again.
