The Club of Patineurs de Paris (also: Patineurs de Paris or CPP) was a French ice hockey team from Paris, which was active from 1906 to 1937 in the highest French Hockey League.

History

The Club of Patineurs de Paris was founded on 20 February 1896 as figure skating club for which, among other things Louis Magnus, after the French Hockey League is named, took. From 1902 the club also introduced its own hockey department, which in the 1906/ 07 season of the founding members of the Ligue Magnus, the highest French Hockey League, was one. In the very first season reached the Paris final championship, but lost to Sporting Club de Lyon in the stadium clearly with a 2:8 defeat.

Already in the following season won the Paris on neutral ground in Chamonix in the final edition of the previous year against Sporting Club de Lyon their first French championship. Following the 1907/ 08 season, the ice stadium in Lyon was closed, after which the Lyon clubs could no longer participate in the championship and this was continued until the 1911/12 season. The Parisians were able to continue their success from the year 1908 and won three times in a row from 1912 to 1914 the championship.

With the beginning of World War II, the play mode in the Ligue Magnus has been relisted and dissolved the club. After the war the club was continued in 1919 as the Ice Skating Club de Paris, and later of Sports d' Hiver de Paris club until 1937.
