Club-Mate

Club-Mate [ ˌ ma ː tə klʊp ] is a caffeinated, non-alcoholic refreshing drink of Loscher Brewery from Münchsteinach. Club-Mate is based on the plant material and has a caffeine content of 20 milligrams per 100 milliliters.

Name

The name goes back to Yerba Mate. He has nothing to do with the English word "mate" [' meɪt ] (German comrade or pal ) to do. The drink is also known as a hacker shower and is considered a cult drink among other things, in hacker circles. Through the cult status that the Club-Mate has reached in the German hacker scene, she is now also exported in large quantities to foreign hacker events.

History

The original name of the drink was champagne Bronte, which has been produced since 1924, but it was only known regionally. In the 1950s, the drink in Club-Mate has been renamed. In 2013, however, " Bronte " regional nor as a term for the drink in the active vocabulary. The recipe for Club-Mate came with the purchase of lemonade factory Geola drinks in Dietenhofen 1994 in the possession of the company extinguisher. The acquisition was started to distribute it nationally. There was never large advertising campaigns for Club-Mate, the awareness of the brand rose only slowly. After the hacker scene Club-Mate has been known in the 2000s in the party and festival scene. While Club-Mate is largely unknown in many parts of Germany, it belongs in some cities, such as Berlin, now the standard range of drinking halls and some supermarket chains ( Rewe, Edeka, Kaiser 's Tengelmann ) and nightclubs. 2011 there was a shortage of supply on the part of the brewery extinguisher because not enough returnable bottles were returned. Reception

A modified version of the brand logo was mainly in Rostock under the name Club - Molli - Easy -to-build kit for fire resistance on the road to the application of Molotov cocktails used.
