Club Ourense Baloncesto

Club Ourense Baloncesto (also known as Aquas De Sousa's Club Ourense Baloncesto ) is a Spanish basketball club from Ourense.

History

The club was founded in 1979. He started in the fourth division and fought his way in 1986 to the second- highest league before. There in the 1988/89 season reached the summit in the ACB league, as the club won the championship. This was followed by a total of ten seasons in the highest basketball league of Spain, including nine in a row. 1993 and 1994 reached Ourense each the quarterfinals of the playoffs for the championship. Against FC Barcelona and Club Baloncesto Estudiantes you failed each. Since relegation from the Liga ACB in 2001, the club did not make it more back there. The team moved instead between second and third league. In the 2012/13 season the club in the second division, Liga Española de Baloncesto plays.
