Cluny – La Sorbonne (Paris Métro)

Cluny - La Sorbonne is an underground station of the Paris Métro. It is located in the 5th arrondissement of Paris. The station is served by the metro line 10. The station is located under the Boulevard Saint- Germain. There is transit traffic to the underground station linked Saint -Michel - Notre -Dame. The station is named after the Musée de Cluny and the Sorbonne.

The station was taken on February 15, 1930 opening of line 10 under the name " Cluny " in operation. This was then extended by the Odéon to Place d'Italie. The section from the station Jussieu is the way today navigated by line 7. On 2 September 1939, the station as part of the established by the beginning of World War II conservation measures has been closed. After the war was abandoned initially on a re-entry because of the proximity of the neighboring stations.

After an extensive renovation, decorated with mosaics by Jean René Bazaine was the re-opened on 15 December 1988.
