Cluster (Band)

Kluster ( Cluster 1971 ) is a German music group that was founded in 1969 by Conrad Schnitzler, Dieter Moebius and Hans -Joachim Roedelius. They played an active role at the beginning of Krautrock.

Experimental music with some mythical texts filled the first two albums knocking and Kluster Two Easter egg. After Conrad Schnitzler left the band. The remaining musicians Moebius and Roedelius listed then in 1971 their musical project in " clusters " around. Other albums with electronic music followed.

Together with the New! Musician Michael Rother took the two under the name Harmonia on two distinctly melodic, electronic music clearly ironic albums ( Musik von Harmonia and De Luxe). More fruitful collaborations gave it to the British musician Brian Eno, who met the cluster at a concert mid-1970. The Cluster & Eno albums and After The Heat are evidence of this phase. Both Dieter Moebius and Hans -Joachim Roedelius have released many solo albums.
