CMC Markets Plc was founded in 1989 and is a market-maker in Contracts for Difference ( CFDs ), headquartered in London (CMC stands for Currency Management Consulting). The company counts with customers in over 100 countries on four continents, one of the world's leading provider in online derivatives trading.

CMC Markets is represented at 20 locations worldwide and employs more than 1,000 employees (as of June 2008). In fiscal year 2007/ 08 CMC Markets wrapped worldwide over 20 million transactions with a trade volume of nearly 1.4 trillion dollars and achieved revenues of 181.4 million pounds sterling.

The German branch of CMC Markets is headquartered in Frankfurt am Main. The offer in Germany includes over 3100 CFDs based on more than 20 markets, including shares, indices, commodities, bonds and currencies, and futures (October 2012).

Company History

In 1989, Peter Cruddas, the company in London. 1992 CMC Markets is regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission FSA in England.
