CNaVT
The Certificaat Nederlands as a foreign language is ( CNaVT ) ( German: "Certificate Dutch as a Foreign Language" ) is an official, internationally recognized Dutch certificate, which was developed by members of the Catholic University of Leuven. The CNaVT consists of six independent units at the language level A2 - C1 lean on the frame of reference of the Council of Europe.

The profile Toeristische s Informele Taalvaardigheid ( Profile language proficiency in tourism and everyday life ) corresponds approximately to the language level A2 and is addressed to language beginners who communicate either as tourists in Dutch or want to communicate with Dutch tourists in their own country. In addition, it is aimed at learners who wish to maintain contacts with Dutch-speaking families / friends. Relevant topics are: Hotel, public transport, information services, etc.
PTPB
The profile Taalvaardigheid Practical Beroepen ( Profile language proficiency in practical professions ) is geared towards people who are Dutch in a practical work ( eg catering, in the technical field as an electrician, etc. in the health sector as a nurse ) need, and roughly corresponds to the language level A2.
PMT
The profile Maatschappelijke Taalvaardigheid ( profile Social language proficiency ) is tailored to people who want to stay for longer periods in the Netherlands or Belgium and are interested in the Dutch language, culture and country and its people. The required language level roughly corresponds to the B1. Relevant topics are: bank, theater, restaurant, hospital, public media such as radio and newspapers and the like.
PPT
The profile Professionele Taalvaardigheid (profile professional language proficiency ) is intended for candidates who in the Dutch Administrative or service need (eg, secretary, bank teller / r, receptionist ). The required language level is roughly equivalent to B2. Relevant topics include: office, meeting / conference, product presentation.
PTHO
The profile Hoger Onderwijs Taalvaardigheid ( Profile language proficiency in higher education ) is aimed at candidates who want to study at a Dutch speaking university or college. The language level is roughly equivalent to B2.
PAT
The profile Academische Taalvaardigheid (profile Academic Language Proficiency ) aimed both at candidates who are at the end of their studies " Dutch as a foreign language" or as a teacher of " Dutch as a foreign language" want to work, as well as to academics who want to work at the University of. The required language level is roughly equivalent to C1. Relevant topics include: lectures and seminars, self-study of literature, discussions etc.
