Cobscook Bay

The Cobscook Bay is the estuary of Orange, Dennys and Pennamaquan River in Washington County in the northeast of the state of Maine.

It opens between Eastport and Lubec to the east of the Passamaquoddy Bay; the bay is divided into numerous arms, passages and bays, the Bay is a Denny's located between Dennysville and Whiting Bay side of the Cobscook Bay. The entrance to the bay forming places Eastport and Lubec are only 4 miles ( 6.5 km ) from each other, the road distance is but about 40 miles (about 65 km). At the Cobscook Bay 35 km ² Edmunds Division is the Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge with the Cobscook Bay State Park.

The tidal range in the bay is about 7 meters.
