Codarts

It is made of a merger:

  • Rotterdam Conservatory, founded in 1930 the Conservatory ( Musikhochschule ) of the City
  • Rotterdam Dance Academy ( Rotterdam Dance Academy ), founded in 1931 (it was also the first director ) as Rotterdamse Dansschool of Corrie Hartong and Gertrud Leistikov
  • Rotterdam Circus arts, founded in September 2006 as an institution of higher learning for circus performers

At the Codarts study a total of approximately 1,200 students, of which about 50 % from the Netherlands. The college has over 300 faculty and about 150 more staff and the biggest Dutch music high school.
