Coglès

Coglès ( Breton Gougleiz: "North" ) is a commune with 648 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in Brittany in the department of Ille -et -Vilaine on the border of Normandy.

The place is a typical example of Rurale Breton architecture.

The municipality is situated approximately 52 km north-east of Rennes and 25 km south of Mont Saint -Michel.

History

Coglès was the first Breton village which was liberated during World War II by the Allies.
