The Col du Portel is a mountain pass in the department of Ariège between Saint- Girons and Foix in the French Pyrenees. It has a height of 1,432 m.
Tour de France
In 2008, the Col du Portel was crossed for the first time of the tour. First winner of the mountains classification at the time was the Frenchman Amaël Moinard.
