Colin Hay

Colin James Hay ( born June 29, 1953 in Kilwinning, Scotland ) is a Scottish musician. He achieved fame in the early 1980s as a singer and guitarist for the Australian band Men At Work.

When Colin Hay was 14 years old, his family moved to Australia. There he met the late 1970s to know musician Ron Strykert. Along with Jerry Speiser, John Rees and Greg Ham, they founded the pop group Men At Work. In 1981 the first Men At Work album. Down Under With the band managed an international hit.

After Men At Work had disbanded in 1985, Hay began a solo career. Since then, he has released nine albums. Renewed awareness in German-speaking he reached mainly by a guest role in the first episode of the second season, the second episode of the seventh season and the 19th episode of the eighth season of Scrubs - and be contributing some songs to the soundtrack of Scrubs and Garden State. This happened both times at the request of Zach Braff, who is the star of Scrubs and writer, director and star of Garden State.

Today, Hay lives in Topanga, California. Hay is with the singer Cecilia Noël, a native Peruvian, married, often occurs together with him and the back-up vocals contributes.
