Coma Chameleon is the seventh studio album by the Donots. It was published on 28 March 2008 as a limited edition with signatures of the band and as "normal" album release. The album debuted at # 41 in the German album charts.

Formation

Guitarist Guido Knollmann said in an interview shortly after the release of the album, "In the past we have made elaborate demos and knew exactly what we would take. For Kurt, it was not so. We got up in the morning, had breakfast and send to us the day. " Likewise, you did not talk about the new album, but often by the new Donots! The songs were first written in the studio, there was a new energy of the Donots.

Style

Overall, the sound on Coma Chameleon is a bit darker than previous albums by the Donots, but also more varied. So the song To Hell with Love, Break My Stride and This Is Not a Drill of fast punk rock are marked. On the other hand on the song Stop the Clocks, there is a melancholy feeling, which again underlines the variety.

Singles

The first single from the album Break My Stride was never published, but landed the corresponding music video to the front ranks of the MTV TRL charts. The second single, "Stop the Clocks " was released on June 13, 2008 and is the most successful single from the Donots, she stayed nine weeks in the singles charts and got radio airplay and rotations highest video. Also an unplugged version and a Fondor The Five remix of Stop the Clocks, the songs Drag the River and Let Me Let You Down is represented on the single. The third single The Right Kind of Wrong was also never published, the accompanying music video is the first of Donots which was not played on the German music channels.
