Comala is a town in the Mexican state of Colima, the administrative seat of the municipality of Comala and popularly known as the White City. Because of its beauty it was declared a Pueblo Mágico. Here also plays the novel Pedro Páramo by Juan Rulfo.

The town has 9,442 inhabitants Comala (2010).

Economy

Comala lives mainly from coffee cultivation and tourism. In Comala, the most famous bakeries in the region are located. Pan de Comala is still appreciated in Colima because of its high quality.

Tourism

The town is located 25 km south of Colima volcano. In the resort especially the portals are famous, especially the typical botaneros ( from the Spanish for botana: snack), in which one gets to free his beer the food, usually with live music.
