Comgás

Comgás is a Brazilian natural gas and oil company with headquarters in São Paulo, São Paulo. The company is listed on the financial index IBOVESPA. Comgás was founded in 1872.

The company produces and sells natural gas and oil to over 420,000 customers ( as of 2004). To Comgás include approximately 3,900 kilometers of natural gas and Erdölpiplines.

Comgás belonged to April 1999 on state-owned operation Companhia Energética de São Paulo ( CESP ). CESP was sold to the British energy company BG Group and the oil company Royal Dutch Shell. Comgás sold for 30 years as a franchisee continues to natural gas with the ability to exercise this for another 20 years.
