Commentary on the Water Classic

The Shui zhu (Chinese水经注/水经注, W.-G. Shui -ching chu, commentary on the classics of the rivers, Commentary on the Book of Bodies of Water Book Commentary, Commentary on classic waters, waters classics with commentary, etc. ') is a historical geographical comment in 40 chapters of Li Daoyuan (郦 道 元/郦 道 元, Li Tao -yuan, † 527) from the period of foreign domination of the Northern Wei Dynasty.
