Commissioner of Yukon

This list outlines the Commissioners (English commissioners ) of the territory Yukon in Canada. A Commissioner shall exercise similar functions to the Vice- Governors of the provinces (mainly representative species). He is not appointed by the Governor General, but by the federal government.

The offices of the Commissioner and the Administrator were repealed and replaced in 1918 by the Gold Commissioner (gold commissioner ), who was subordinate to the Interior Ministry.

The offices of the Gold Commissioner and the auditor ( Comptroller ) were combined and the Auditors ( as of 1936 ) controller was now the highest executive officials.

As of 1948, the highest executive officials the title of commissioner was wearing. Since the introduction of a legislative Prime Minister in 1978, the office has more representative character.
