Communic

Communic are a Norwegian Progressive-/Power-Metal-Band. The band's style is considered to be strongly influenced by Nevermore.

Band History

By the end of 2002, singer and guitarist and bassist Erik Mortensen Oddleif Stensland played together in a band called Ingria. After its dissolution Stensland founded together with Tor Atle Andersen, drummer his second band Scariot in 2003 Communic. Shortly after the establishment Mortensen completed the lineup, which then in the spring of 2004 recorded their first three track demo comprehensive in-house. This had a circulation of only 100 copies and was named in April 2004 by the magazine Rock Hard for " demo of the month ". In July of that year, the band signed a recording contract with the German label Nuclear Blast and went in September in the Danish Jacob Hansen Studios to record their debut album Conspiracy In Mind. For the recordings and the subsequent tour in 2005 reinforced the Danish keyboardist Peter Jensen the band. He was, however, due to the limited sample possibilities never been employed with those based in Norway members. The resulting album was greeted with excellent reviews worldwide and prompted the readers of Rock Hard magazine, Communic to choose " Newcomer of the Year ". Her first tour, which led the band through Europe, the Norwegians denied the opening act for Ensiferum and Graveworm. The highlight of the tour, the band claims to have seen the show at the Rock Hard Festival in Gelsenkirchen.

The second album, entitled Waves Of Visual Decay was recorded with support from the Norwegian keyboardist Endre Kirkesola and again produced by Jacob Hansen in Denmark. It was published on 19 May 2006 and harvested as the previous album, a lot of praise from the international press ( album of the month in Metal Hammer and Rock-Hard in the magazine ).
